Made by hand instead of machine or made manually or by craftsmen, especially not from the industry.
Webster dictionary defined handmade as an article made by hand or by a manual process. Other definitions include the aspect of craftsmanship and imply that a handmade article is generally a better quality than a mass produced by a machine. Because human’s are not machines, many retailers remind customers that handmade products may have inconsistencies or slight defects. These are signs that the product was not mass produced.
Even if the profitability is not always there, it appears that the craftsman or the artist of the product or work, a real feeling of personal fulfilment. A wealth that is certainly not accounting , but which is nonetheless significant !
